Primary Greenstock Supplier for Gipps Street Recreation Precinct

We are proud to have partnered with Glascott Landscape and Civil as the primary Greenstock supplier for the new Gipps Street Recreation Precinct. With over 40 years of experience in growing and supplying quality plants, Andreasens Green has played a vital role in shaping some of Australia’s most iconic landscapes.

This transformative 32-hectare project, located at Claremont Meadows along South Creek, has been meticulously designed to provide a state-of-the-art recreational hub for the Penrith community. Gipps Street Recreation Precinct features four full-size rectangular sports fields, junior-size fields, two cricket/AFL ovals, netball courts, cricket practice facilities, and an off-leash dog park. Families and individuals can enjoy amenities including children’s water play and nature play spaces, a dedicated youth zone with a skate park and pump track, outdoor fitness equipment, picnic areas, and pedestrian pathways with public art installations. Close to 60,000 plants and trees were installed at site.

To complement this world-class facility, Andreasens Green has supplied a diverse range of premium Greenstock, including native trees, shrubs, and grasses. These plants were carefully chosen to enhance the natural beauty of the precinct while supporting local biodiversity and creating sustainable green spaces. The extensive tree planting and landscaping efforts will provide shade, improve air quality, and contribute to the site’s ecological health.

The project reflects a 20-year vision of transforming a decommissioned waste site into a landmark recreation destination. After extensive remediation work, including the construction of a leachate system and wetlands, the precinct officially opened in August 2024, setting a new benchmark for sport and leisure in Western Sydney.
