Description

The Moonbay is a fantastic dwarf form of Sacred Bamboo. This clumping, multicoloured, extremely tough, evergreen plant is brilliant in almost any garden where the constantly changing colour of the foliage gives year-round interest. Its ideal as a low hedge or border, but also looks great dotted here and there for pops of colour. Can also be grown in patio pots if desired.

Foliage : Its foliage changes colour throughout the year with yellow, orange and green leaves in the warmer months that turn to a bright red during the winter. The colder it is, the redder it becomes. If grown in shade it will mainly stay green.

Position : Moonbay will grow in full sun or part shade. It can grow in most soil types or as a pot plant. It will tolerate drought and cold making it ideal for most gardens

Common Pest And Diseases : Not known to have any pests or diseases, however, they are toxic for dogs

Soil Type : Well drained soil types.

Care And Maintenance : Remove old foliage and prune yearly to encourage dense growth habit. Apply mulch and slow-release fertiliser during spring.
